about

This is somewhat of a autobiographical song, about God's leading in our lives, over the first few years after my conversion.

lyrics

Tears of remorse were hidden by force –
From eyes that were opened within.
I knew the calm Voice that gave me the choice –
To stay or to change where I’d been –
Down ramshackle alleyways – stumbling through hazy daze –
When I was already given –
Life every day – and Word for my way –
So, I gave You my sin.

Chorus
Now I can give You my song –
It’s easy, and not very long.
But it’s the next way that I have to say:
I can’t give enough to You –
Live and show love to You.
Jesus, I give You my song.

Plans for our equity – social necessity –
Building our lives to fit in.
But when we left town, it came crashing down –
And we plotted our course once again.
Down old dead-end avenues – blind where we were going to –
When the answer was always within.
Just make a shift – start using the gift –
Then, I gave You my life.

~~~ Chorus ~~~
