Would you be free from the burden of sin? There’s power in the Blood - power in the Blood! Would you o’er evil, a victory win? There’s wonderful power in the Blood! Chorus There is power, power, wonder-working power In the Blood of the Lamb! There is power, power, wonder-working power In the precious Blood of the Lamb! Would you be free from your passion and pride? There’s power in the Blood - power in the Blood! Come for a cleansing, to Calvary’s tide. There’s wonderful power in the Blood! ~~~Chorus~~~ Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow? There’s power in the Blood - power in the Blood! Sin stains are lost in it’s Life giving flow. There’s wonderful power in the Blood! ~~~Chorus~~~ Would you do service for Jesus, your King? There’s power in the Blood – power in the Blood! Would you live daily, His praises to sing? There’s wonderful power in the Blood! ~~~Chorus~~~

And can it be that I should gain an interest in the Savior’s blood? Died He for me, who caused His pain; for me, who Him to death pursued. Amazing Love! How can it be, that Thou, my God shouldst die for me? Amazing Love! How can it be, that Thou, my God shouldst die for me? He left His Father’s throne above; so free, so infinite His grace. Emptied Himself of all, but Love; and bled for Adam’s helpless race. ‘Tis mercy, all immense, and free; for O, my God, it found out me. Amazing Love! How can it be, that Thou, my God shouldst die for me? Long, my imprisoned spirit lay; fast, bound in sin, and nature’s night. Thine eye diffused a quick’ning ray. I woke, the dungeon flamed with light. My chains fell off; my heart was free. I rose, went forth, and followed Thee. Amazing Love! How can it be, that Thou, my God shouldst die for me? No condemnation, now I dread. Jesus, and all in Him is mine! Alive in Him, my Living Head; and clothed in righteousness divine. Bold, I approach the eternal throne, and claim the crown, Through Christ, my own. Amazing Love! How can it be, that Thou, my God shouldst die for me?

Time is filled with swift transition; naught of earth, unmoved can stand. Build your hopes on things - eternal; hold to God’s unchanging Hand! Trust in Him, who will not leave you; whatsoever years may bring. If by earthly friends forsaken, still more closely to Him cling. Chorus Hold to His Hand, to God’s unchanging Hand! Hold to His Hand, to God’s unchanging Hand! Build your hopes on things - eternal, And hold to God’s unchanging Hand! Covet not this world’s vain riches; that so rapidly decay. Seek to gain the heavenly treasures, they will never pass away. ~~~Chorus~~~ When your journey here is ended; if to God you have been true; Fair and bright, your home in glory, your enraptured soul will view. ~~~Chorus~~~
4.
There shall be showers of blessing: this is the promise of Love. There shall be seasons refreshing, sent from the Savior above. Chorus Showers of blessing! Showers of blessing we need! Mercy drops ‘round us are falling, but for the showers we plead! There shall be showers of blessing, precious reviving again; Over the hills and the valleys, sound of abundance of rain. ~~~~~~~Chorus~~~~~~~ There shall be showers of blessing, send them upon us, O Lord. Grant to us now a refreshing. Come, and now honor Your Word. ~~~~~~~Chorus~~~~~~~ There shall be showers of blessing - O, that today they might fall, Now as to God we’re confessing; now as on Jesus we call. ~~~~~~~Chorus~~~~~~~

Let all things now living – a song of thanksgiving To God the Creator – triumphantly raise; Who fashioned and made us – protected and stayed us; Who still guides us on to the end of our days. God’s banners are o’er us – His Light goes before us – A pillar of fire, shining forth in the night – ‘Till shadows have vanished, and darkness is banished – As forward we travel, from light into Light. His law, He enforces – the stars in their courses, And sun in its orbit, obediently shine. The hills and the mountains – the rivers and fountains – The deeps of the ocean, proclaim Him divine. We too should be voicing our love, and rejoicing With glad adoration – a song let us raise! ‘Till all things now living, unite in thanksgiving To God in the highest – hosanna and praise!
6.
My Jesus, I love Thee; I know Thou art mine. For Thee, all the follies of sin I resign. My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou. If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ‘tis now. I love Thee, because Thou hast first loved me, And purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree. I love Thee, for wearing the thorns on Thy brow. If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ‘tis now. I’ll love Thee in life; I will love Thee in death, And praise Thee, as long as Thou lendest me breath; And say, when the death dew lies cold on my brow, “If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ‘tis now”. In mansions of glory, and endless delight, I’ll ever adore Thee, in heaven so bright. I’ll sing, with the glittering crown on my brow, “If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ‘tis now”.
7.
Sing the wond’rous Love of Jesus, Sing His mercy, and His grace – In the mansions, bright and blessed, He’ll prepare for us a place! Refrain When we all get to heaven – What a Day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We’ll sing and shout the victory! While we walk the pilgrim pathway, Clouds will overspread the sky. But when traveling days are over – Not a shadow, not a sigh! ~~~Refrain~~~ Let us then be true and faithful – Trusting, serving every day. Just one glimpse of Him in glory, Will the toils of life repay! ~~~Refrain~~~ Onward – to the prize before us! Soon – His beauty we’ll behold! Soon – the pearly gates will open! We shall tread the streets of gold! ~~~Refrain~~~
8.
Fill Me Now 05:18
Hover o’er me, Holy Spirit; Bathe my trembling heart and brow. Fill me with Thy hallowed presence; Come, O come, and fill me now! Refrain Fill me now; fill me now; Jesus come, and fill me now! Fill me with Thy hallowed presence; Come, O come, and fill me now! Thou can fill me, gracious Spirit, Though I cannot tell Thee how. But I need Thee, greatly need Thee; Come, O come, and fill me now! ~~~~~Refrain~~~~~ Humbly now, I ask for power; At Thy sacred feet, I bow. Blest, divine, eternal Spirit, Fill with power, and fill me now! ~~~~~Refrain~~~~~ Cleanse and comfort, bless and save me; Bathe, O bathe my heart and brow. Thou art comforting, and saving; Thou art sweetly filling now! ~~~~~Refrain~~~~~
9.
Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee. Take my moments, and my days, let them flow in ceaseless praise; Let them flow in ceaseless praise. Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of Thy love. Take my feet and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee; Swift and beautiful for Thee. Take my voice, and let me sing, always, only for my King. Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from Thee; Filled with messages from Thee. Take my silver, and my gold; not a mite would I withhold. Take my intellect, and use every pow’r as Thou shalt choose; Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose. Take my love, my Lord; I pour at Thy feet it’s treasure store. Take myself, and I will be ever, only all for Thee; Ever, only all for Thee. Take my will, and make it Thine; it shall be no longer mine. Take my heart; it is Thine own; it shall be Thy royal Throne; It shall be Thy royal Throne.
10.
Down at the cross, where my Savior died; Down where for cleansing from sin, I cried; There to my heart, was the blood applied. Glory to His Name! Chorus Glory to His Name! Glory to His Name! There, to my heart, was the blood applied! Glory to His Name! I am so wond’rously saved from sin. Jesus so sweetly abides within. There at the cross, where He took me in; Glory to His Name! ~~~Chorus~~~ O, precious Fountain, that saves from sin; I am so glad that I entered in! There, Jesus saves me, and keeps me clean. Glory to His Name! ~~~Chorus~~~ Come to this fountain, so rich and sweet; Cast thy poor soul, at the Savior’s feet; Plunge in today, and be made complete! Glory to His Name! ~~~Chorus~~~
11.
Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart; Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art. Thou, my best thought, by day or by night; Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my Light. Be Thou my wisdom, and Thou my true Word; I ever with Thee, and Thou with me Lord. Thou, my great Father; I Thy true son; Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee, one. Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise. Thou mine inheritance, now, and always; Thou, and Thou only, first in my heart; High King of heaven, my Treasure, Thou art. High King of heaven, my victory won; May I reach heaven’s joys, bright heaven’s Son! Heart of my own heart; whatever befall, Still be my vision, O Ruler of all.
12.
Jesus, keep me near the cross – there, a precious fountain, Free to all, a healing stream – flows from Calvary’s mountain. Chorus In the cross – in the cross – be my glory ever – Till my raptured soul shall find rest, beyond the river. Near the cross, a trembling soul – Love and Mercy found me. There, the Bright and Morning Star – sheds its beams around me. ~~~Chorus~~~ Near the cross, oh Lamb of God – bring its scenes before me. Help me walk, from day to day – with its shadows o’er me. ~~~Chorus~~~ Near the cross, I’ll watch and wait – hoping, trusting ever – ‘Till I reach the golden strand – just beyond the river. ~~~Chorus~~~

about

"The Hymnal" is a collection of hymns, recorded between March and November of 2010, and released on January 13, 2011. Most of these hymns are outtakes from the "Songs From 7th Street" sessions. There are no originals on this album - it's all my variations of classic hymns, that I grew up with.
"Thus says the LORD: 'Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it - then you will find rest for your souls.' " ~ Jeremiah 6:16
This album was remastered in May of 2015.
